Michael W. Armistead has extensive work experience in the military and communications sectors. Michael began their career in the United States Marine Corps in 2005 and held various roles, including Public Affairs Plans Officer and Director of Public Affairs. In 2010, they became the Director of Public Affairs for the Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. Michael has also served as the Director, Communication Strategy and Operations for the II Marine Expeditionary Force. Most recently, they were the Branch Head of Occupational Field Support in the United States Marine Corps before taking on the role of Director of Communications at the Marine Corps Association in 2023.
Michael W. Armistead obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University, graduating in 1991.
