Donna M. Kocak

Donna M. Kocak is an accomplished maritime subject matter expert currently serving as Past President of the Marine Technology Society since January 2019 and holding the position of Sr. Scientist and Fellow for Strategic Initiatives Oversight at L3Harris Technologies since January 2008. With extensive experience in software engineering, Kocak founded Green Sky Imaging, LLC, where innovative laser and video photogrammetry software for underwater inspection was developed. Prior roles include leading technology development at Advanced Technologies Group and serving as a Sr. Software Engineer at eMerge Interactive, contributing to advanced optical imaging systems for food safety. Kocak's career also features a significant tenure as Software Engineering Manager at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution, where notable undersea systems software was created. Educational credentials include an MBA in International Business & Strategy and multiple degrees in Computer Science and Engineering Management from the University of Central Florida.
