John Morton

John Morton currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Mariner Finance, a position held since January 2017. Prior experience includes roles as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at the same company and a partner at Gordon Feinblatt LLC from September 2007 to January 2017. Morton has contributed to the legal community through several leadership positions, including Chair of the Committee on Consumer Credit and Financial Institutions for the Maryland State Bar Association from March 2014 to October 2020, and Chair of the Compliance Management Subcommittee for the American Bar Association from September 2017 to September 2019. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College. Additional involvement includes service on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region and various roles within the organization.
