Eugene joined our organization in 2014 as the lead for our Benefits team. He was promoted to Human Resources Director in June 2017. He has since served as a subject matter expert for HR policies and procedures and has led a number of initiatives in the area of benefits and leave of absence management, Employee & Labor Relations group negotiation, and was instrumental in developing HR responses to emergencies that affected our staff, including PSPS power shut offs, regional fire emergencies and of course, COVID related issues.
Eugene comes to this new role with fifteen years of human resources experience and holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and African American Studies from the University of California, Davis and an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. He is certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources [SPHR].
