David Navalho

David Navalho has a strong background in the field of big data and research. David started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the Research Center for Informatics and Information Technologies (CITI) in 2008 and worked in that role until 2011. From 2011, they pursued a PHD at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (FCT NOVA), where they conducted research on distributed algorithms, CRDTs, and batch/streaming systems.

In 2016, Navalho joined Marionete, a UK consultancy specializing in data science, big data, and DevOps. David started as a Big Data Consultant, providing expertise and insight to various projects. Over time, they progressed through the ranks and held roles such as Senior Big Data, Lead Big Data, and currently, they hold the position of Head of Big Data since August 2020.
