Paul Kelly

Paul Kelly is an experienced power plant operator with a career spanning several decades in the energy sector. Currently serving as a No 3 Power Plant Operator at Maritime Electric Company, Ltd since September 2015, Paul is responsible for the operation and maintenance of power plant equipment at the Charlottetown Thermal Generating Plant. Prior to this role, Paul worked in various capacities, including Power Plant Maintenance at Summerside Electric, where maintenance and operation of a 14-megawatt diesel power plant were key responsibilities. Paul also held the position of 3rd Power Engineer at Cavendish Farms, managing the operation of significant boiler systems and maintenance tasks. Early career experience includes serving as a 4th Class Power Engineer with the Department of National Defence. Paul holds degrees in 4th Class and 3rd Class Power Engineering from Holland College.
