Sophie Rucker

Sophie Rucker, EIT, currently serves as a Bridge Engineer at Mark Thomas since October 2023. Prior to this role, Sophie worked as a Design Engineer at PZSE Structural Engineers, Inc. from October 2021 to October 2023 and gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the U.C. Davis Hurricane Research Project from June 2020 to June 2021. Additional experience includes a Civil Engineering Intern position at Clark Pacific and serving as a Nanny at Care.com from June 2014 to September 2019. In academic roles, Sophie was an Orientation Leader at the University of California, Davis, mentoring incoming students, and actively participated as a member of the ASCE GeoWall Projects Team, focusing on design and construction of retaining wall models. Sophie holds a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural from the University of California, Davis, completed in 2021.
