Morris Taylor

CIO at Markel Group

Morris Taylor has been working in the field of information technology for over 25 years. Morris began their career at Capital One in November 1993 and worked their way up to Divisional CIO of the Card Partnerships Division. In this role, they were responsible for the technology needs of over 20 private-label retail and co-branded card partnerships.

In March 2018, Morris left Capital One to take on the role of CIO at Markel. In this role, they are responsible for the agile transformation and adoption of open source technology, Dev ops and AWS cloud services. This involves 120 teams and 750+ associates. Morris is also the technology lead for all new business development due diligence, Card program launches and account conversion planning and execution.

Morris is a highly experienced and respected leader in the field of information technology. Morris is known for their dedication to their work and their ability to get the most out of their team. Morris is a strong advocate for the use of open source technology and cloud services, and has been instrumental in the adoption of these technologies at Markel.

Morris Taylor has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University - School of Business.
