Mr. Madden provides overall leadership to MDR with a focus on exacting and innovative research methods, accurate high-quality data, and “research for good”, projects that help improve societal well-being and health.
During the past 20 years, Patrick has worked closely with individuals and organizations across the U.S. to turn their ideas into research, data, and insights. He designed and led hundreds of research and evaluation projects to support data driven decision making. Patrick excels at distilling large quantities of data into clear and actionable recommendations to design, improve and evaluate public programs, policy, and marketing/communications campaigns.
Patrick’s work with non-profits, government agencies, health care providers, and other organizations focuses on improving overall health and social well-being and addressing issues of inequity among underserved and historically disadvantaged populations. His experience spans a wide range of topics including healthcare access, community health, product and service development, substance use and mental health, youth and adolescent health, patient experience, environmental health, and behavioral marketing and communication. Results of his work have been published in the Journal of Public Health Management & Practice, Health Education and Behavior, and Preventing Chronic Disease, among others.
In addition to his role at MDR, Mr. Madden has served on the Executive Board of the New England Society for Healthcare Communications, the Insights Association New England Chapter, and the New England Association of Public Opinion Research.
