Mike Yamamoto

Mike Yamamoto is lead analyst for the Unusual Option Activity service at Market Rebellion. He has specialized in the options market since joining optionMONSTER as managing editor when the financial crisis began in 2008. As an award-winning journalist earlier in his career, Mike was the executive news editor of CNET Networks, investigations editor of the Los Angeles Times Washington Bureau, and city editor of the San Francisco Chronicle. He was the founding managing editor of News.com, the first major news organization on the Internet, and has covered a broad array of areas ranging from business and government to technology and entertainment. Mike has also been an adjunct professor at American University in Washington and California State University at Northridge, as well as a guest commentator on ABC, CBS, CNN, CNBC, and Fox News. He has degrees in journalism and psychology from San Francisco State University.
