Mike Morganton

Mike Morganton is an experienced professional with a diverse background in finance, risk management, and corporate planning. Currently serving as Market Surveillance Administrator in the role of Executive Director, Enforcement since August 2025, Mike has previously worked at Berkshire Hathaway Energy as a Sr. Corporate Development Analyst, where the focus was on evaluating investment opportunities in electrical transmission and renewable energy. Prior experiences include leading the Technology Risk Management team at ATB Financial and providing economic analysis for Canadian Natural Resources Limited after the acquisition of Devon Canada. With a solid foundation in corporate planning and analysis from roles at Devon Energy and WestJet, as well as team management and operational responsibilities at Bell Canada, Mike also brings consulting experience from CGI and strategic support from Bank of Montreal. Mike holds an MSc in Decision Science from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a BMath in Math and Business with an Economics Package from the University of Waterloo.
