Andy Steinmann

Andy Steinmann has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Andy started their career as a Support Representative at Cart32, where they provided technical support for shopping cart software and managed employee schedules. Andy later served as a Lead Support Representative at the same company.

Andy then joined HealthMEDX as a Web Application Developer, where they worked on projects related to electronic medication administration and developed a PDA interface using ASP.NET. Andy also wrote specification documents for task completion. Andy later became a Senior Application Developer and a Software Engineer at HealthMEDX, where they were responsible for research and implementation of cutting-edge technologies like Silverlight and WPF.

After leaving HealthMEDX, Andy worked as a Contractor/Software Engineer at McKesson, followed by a role as an Adjunct Instructor at ITT Technical Institute. Andy then returned to HealthMEDX as an Architect and worked on designing and building a single sign-on flow, a DEA certified electronic prescription product, and a secure mobile application using Xamarin.

Andy joined Change Healthcare as a Mobile Engineer, where they worked for two years. Currently, they are working at MarketAxess as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they are serving as a Team Architect and leading the move from an on-prem monolith application to a distributed micro-service application. Andy is using technologies like Kafka for data flow and Kubernetes (EKS) for orchestration in AWS. The application they are working on processes over 500 million messages per day using various applications in multiple languages like Apache KStream, Apache Camel, Java, and C#.

Andy Steinmann obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Missouri State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Certified SAFe® 4 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in August 2019.
