Neal Scarbrough

Neal Scarbrough has extensive experience in the media industry, with a focus on sports. Neal currently holds the position of VP/General Manager at Marketplace by APM, where they lead a team of journalists, producers, editors, and hosts in breaking down the economy for a wide audience.

Before joining Marketplace, Scarbrough founded and served as the Managing Partner of Scarbrough, ThInc., a consulting firm they established in 2010.

Neal has also held leadership roles at various prominent media organizations. As the Vice President and Executive Editor at FOX Sports from 2016 to 2021, Scarbrough oversaw studio programming, content, and news updates for FS1's national cable networks.

Prior to FOX Sports, Scarbrough served as the Senior Director of Network and Technical Operations at New England Sports Network (NESN) from 2015 to 2016, where they led the network's broadcast operations team and managed budget and expense management.

From 2013 to 2015, Scarbrough worked as a Senior Executive Producer for Sports at Al Jazeera Media Network, where they brought their expertise in sports production and management.

Other notable positions in their career include Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Comcast, VP of Digital Media at Versus/Comcast, and Executive Content Strategist at the Wasserman Media Group.

Scarbrough began their career as the GM/Editor-in-Chief of AOL Sports, where they successfully rebuilt the website and achieved significant growth in traffic.

Throughout their career, Neal Scarbrough has consistently demonstrated their ability to lead and innovate in the media industry, with a strong focus on sports content and production.

Neal Scarbrough graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. During their time there, they studied various subjects such as Print Journalism, Biology, and American Literature. In 2004, they attended the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they completed the Executive Leadership Development Program and earned a Professional Certificate in the same field.
