Richard L. Peterson, M.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and psychology. Richard L. has been the CEO of MarketPsych LLC since 2001, where they deliver research and predictive models derived from text analytics of news and social media. Additionally, they train and coaches financial professionals on improving financial decision making, investment performance, and client relationship management using principles of modern psychology and behavioral economics.

In 2007, Dr. Peterson became board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. This certification lasted until 2020.

Richard L. also served as the Managing Director of MarketPsy Capital LLC from 2008 to 2017. In this role, they created one of the first sentiment-driven investment strategies using textual analysis and statistical modeling. Dr. Richard L. Peterson pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their undergraduate studies from 1991 to 1995 at The University of Texas at Austin. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Arts.

Building upon their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education in the medical field at The University of Texas Medical Branch from 1996 to 2000. Here, they acquired their Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree, solidifying their foundation in the field of Medicine.

Following their medical studies, Dr. Peterson delved into the intricate realm of Neuroeconomics through a postdoctoral program at Stanford University. From 2003 to 2004, they dedicated their time to this specialized field, enhancing their knowledge and expertise in the intersection of neuroscience and economics.
