Vivien Lou Chen

Vivien Lou Chen is a seasoned markets reporter currently with MarketWatch since July 2021, having previously held a long tenure at Bloomberg LP from February 1999 to July 2021, where coverage focused on bonds, fixed income markets, currencies, central banks, and the economy. Chen's journalism career also includes roles as a reporter for various prestigious publications such as the Los Angeles Times, Daily Journal Corp., and the Des Moines Register, along with early internship experiences across notable news outlets. In addition to journalistic pursuits, Chen has a musical background as a drummer for several bands including Night Candy, John Is Gone, and Whiskey Rebellion. Chen holds a BA in Print Journalism and International Relations from the University of Southern California.
