Scott Forney

Scott Forney has worked in the legal field since 2010. Scott began as a Legal Intern at Kallina & Associates, LLC in 2010, and then moved to a Legal Intern position at the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office in the same year. In 2011, they worked as a Law Clerk in the Small Business/Self Employed Division at the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service and also as a Law Clerk in the Tax Controversy Group at Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP. In 2013, they worked as an In-House Counsel at Transamerica Life and Protection and as a Tax Site Manager at the Baltimore CASH Campaign. In 2014, they worked as an Attorney at Hartman and Egeli, LLP. In 2015, they worked as an Attorney at Bernstein & Feldman, P.A. and in 2018, they worked as an Attorney at Hyatt & Weber, P.A. Scott currently works as an Assistant General Counsel at MarketWise since 2019.

Scott Forney obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Finance from Salisbury University - Perdue School of Business between 2003 and 2007. Scott then attended University of Baltimore School of Law, where they earned a J.D. in 2009. In 2010, they continued their education at University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where they earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Business Law in 2012. Scott was admitted to the Maryland Bar in December 2012, and to the US District Court for the District of Maryland in March 2015.
