Brian Playfair

Brian Playfair is an experienced professional currently serving as a Mental Health First Aid Trainer at MHFA England® since October 2018 and as a Hospitality & Operations Manager at Marks and Spencer since January 2021. In addition, Brian has held the role of Director at Healthy Minds Training & Consultancy Ltd until August 2023, where the focus was on providing mental health training. Brian is also pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Law at The Open University, anticipated to complete in July 2025, and previously served as Chairman of the Open University Law Society from April 2021 to August 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Medic in the Royal Navy from May 2003 to January 2016 and obtaining a National Certificate in Computer Science from Borders College. Education credentials also include coursework from the Institute of Safety & Health and City & Guilds.
