Mat Rashidi

Mat Rashidi has extensive experience in the R&D and innovation field. Mat most recently served as the Global Vice President of R&D and Innovation at Markwins Beauty Brands Global since December 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Cosmetic Group USA as the Head of R&D and Innovation from January 2017 to December 2018, where they managed a team of scientists and technicians, developed an innovative culture, and collaborated with supply chain and R&D leaders. Before that, they held the position of Innovation Manager at Cosmetic Group USA from June 2015 to January 2017. Mat also has experience as an R&D Scientist at JOSEPH H. LOWENSTEIN & SON'S INC., where they developed formulations for hair color products and worked on scientific substantiation and product science. Mat began their career as a Research/Teacher Assistant in the PhD program at the University of Illinois at Chicago and also has experience as a Scientist/R&D in multiple industries from June 2002 to July 2011.

Mat Rashidi pursued a Master's Degree (PhD candidate) in Physical Chemistry from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they were enrolled until 2013. In terms of additional certifications, Mat obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of South Florida in May 2022. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Leadership and Management Skills from PDC, although the specific date of achievement is not provided.
