Robert Smythe Jr is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and administrative roles. Currently serving as a Classroom Teacher for AP History at Marple Newtown School District since July 2023, Robert previously spent nearly a decade at William Penn School District, where roles included Positive Behavior and Support Facilitator, Instructional Coach, and Dean of Students, achieving significant reductions in behavior infractions. Robert has also taught American History, coached girls' soccer, and held various leadership positions in school committees. Additionally, Robert has experience as a part-time firefighter and field instructor, with a commitment to community service demonstrated through candidacy for the Pennsylvania State Legislature. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Immaculata University and a Bachelor of Arts in History Teacher Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
