Lee Wessel

Lee Wessel has over three decades of experience in the medical field, currently serving as a Staff Physician at Marque Urgent Care since July 2011, providing urgent care services in Orange and San Diego Counties. Prior to this role, Wessel worked at San Diego State University in various capacities, including a full-time Physician in the Student Health Services Urgent Care from July 2000 to March 2020, and previously as Assistant Director of the UCSD-SDSU General Preventive Medicine Residency. Wessel also spent nearly a decade as a full partner in the Urgent Care Department at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group and served as Chief Resident during a Preventive Medicine residency at UCSD. Wessel holds an MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and an MPH in Health Promotion from San Diego State University, complemented by a BA in Biology and French from the University of Pennsylvania.
