Bruce Matherne

Bruce Matherne has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at SMS as a Captain and Operations Manager. During their time there, they were responsible for worldwide towing and managed the company's ISM Safety Management system. In 2012, they joined Marquette Transportation Company, LLC as the Vice President of Offshore Operations.

Bruce Matherne attended Central Lafourche High School from 1980 to 1983. After completing high school, they received Mariners training at Houston training in Larose, LA. During this training, Bruce obtained a certification as a 1600 ton Master of Oceans with towing endorsement. Bruce also became certified in STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) and ABS (American Bureau of Shipping). Additionally, they obtained a certification as an ISM (International Safety Management) Lead Auditor. Bruce Matherne also holds CSO/VSO certification from the U.S. Coast Guard, although the specific year and month of obtaining this certification are not provided.
