Brian F. Linnane

Rev. Brian F. Linnane was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2018. Father Linnane served as the 24th president of Loyola University Maryland from 2005 to 2021. During his presidency, he oversaw the completion of the $100 million Bright Minds, Bold Hearts campaign, the opening of the Ridley Athletic Complex, the designation change to Loyola University Maryland and the transition to the Patriot League. Under his leadership, Loyola experienced increased diversity, equity and inclusion among the campus community. Father Linnane also inspired the vision for Messina, Loyola’s distinctive interdisciplinary living and learning program for first-year students.
