John van Ert

John Van Ert has extensive experience in the field of information security and systems engineering. John is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Mars Veterinary Health since 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at VCA Animal Hospitals from 2020 to 2021. Before becoming the CISO, they worked as the Sr. Director of Systems Engineering from 2017 to 2020, Director of Systems Engineering from 2009 to 2017, and Manager of Systems Engineering from 2007 to 2009, all at VCA Animal Hospitals.

John Van Ert obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
