Molly McAllister

Chief Medical Officer at Mars Veterinary Health

Molly McAllister, DVM, MPH has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of veterinary medicine. Molly is currently serving as a Board Member and Immediate Past-Chair at the Diversify Veterinary Medicine Coalition. Prior to this, they held several key positions at Banfield Pet Hospital, including Chief Medical Officer, Vice President of Veterinary Science, Director of Research, and Senior Manager of Research Programs. Molly'sresponsibilities at Banfield included managing a network of veterinary professionals, advancing the veterinary profession, educating stakeholders, and leading research efforts.

Before joining Banfield, Molly worked at Royal Canin as a Scientific Services Veterinarian, where they provided technical support and education on nutritional inquiries related to dogs and cats. Molly also served as a veterinarian and assistant manager at the Audubon Society of Portland's Wildlife Care Center, where they handled case management for native wildlife and trained volunteers.

Earlier in their career, they worked as an associate veterinarian at Oswego Veterinary Hospital and as an intern at Bend Equine Medical Center LLP.

Molly McAllister is expected to join Mars Veterinary Health as the Chief Medical Officer in 2023.

Molly McAllister, DVM, MPH, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Lewis & Clark College in 1998. Molly then pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Oregon State University from 2000 to 2004. In 2012, Molly earned their Masters of Public Health with a focus on Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Epidemiology, and Public Health from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, they completed a program on the Economics of Mutuality at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in 2020. Molly is currently enrolled in the Global Business Consortium at London Business School, where they will receive a degree in Business in 2023.
