Courtney E. Kapes Lewis

Courtney E. Kapes Lewis has a strong background in compliance and general counsel roles. Courtney E. Kapes began their career as a Legal Assistant and Summer Associate at Ryan & Conlon LLP in 2004. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Legal Consultant at Thornton Holdings, LLC and as a Senior Legal Consultant at GreenHills Ventures, LLC. In 2011, they joined Systematic Financial Management, LP as Counsel & Compliance Officer. Courtney then served as the Chief Compliance Officer & General Counsel at Hound Partners, LLC from 2014 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Compliance Officer & General Counsel (North America) at Marshall Wace since May 2019.

Kapes then pursued further education at Fordham University School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in 2010. Additionally, they concurrently pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Political Economy & Development from Fordham University, which they completed in 2010 as well.
