Ivan Skopovi

Ivan Skopovi, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Ivan is currently the Head of Convertible Strategies at Marshall Wace, a position they have held since October 2019. Prior to this role, they worked as a Principal at Davidson Kempner Capital Management from January 2018 to August 2019, where they were responsible for managing a team in charge of convertible arbitrage and structured volatility portfolios. Ivan also held the position of Associate at Davidson Kempner Capital Management from March 2010 to December 2017. Before joining Davidson Kempner Capital Management, Ivan worked as a Volatility Analyst and Trader at Redbrick Capital Management, responsible for managing a $500 million U.S. focused convertible arbitrage and fixed income strategy from 2007 to 2009.

Ivan Skopovi, Ph.D. has an extensive education history in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Ivan began their academic journey at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from 1995 to 2000. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued higher education at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). From 2000 to 2002, Ivan earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ivan continued their education at MIT, where they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from 2002 to 2006. Ivan's dedication to their field is evident through their various academic achievements. Additionally, they hold certifications such as the CF30 from the Financial Conduct Authority, obtained in August 2010, and their Ph.D. certification from MIT, which they acquired in June 2006.
