John Hamlin

John Hamlin is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in employment law, currently serving as the Global Chief Employment Counsel at Marsh McLennan since 2023, following a progressive tenure within the company that began in 2002. Prior roles at Marsh McLennan include Chief Counsel, Employment, Benefits and Governance, Chief Employment Counsel, Senior Employment Counsel, and Employment Counsel. Before joining Marsh McLennan, John Hamlin practiced at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP as Of Counsel and Associate, and held an Associate position at Wiggin and Dana LLP. Additionally, John Hamlin served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. B. Avant Edenfield at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from The College of Wooster, a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and a Master of Arts from the University of Connecticut.
