Jonathan Wellington

Jonathan Wellington has worked in a variety of roles since 1993. Jonathan started their career at Eckerd Youth Alternatives as a Recruiter and Business Development, followed by a role as Director of Recruitment for Alternatives Unlimited in 2001. In 2003, they co-owned Redwing Studio LLC, providing custom web design and Internet based marketing services. In 2008, they joined Astonish as a Scrum Master and SEO Manager. In 2014, they became a Scrum Master and Technical Project Manager at ShapeUp, Inc. Jonathan then worked as a Scrum Master at Veritude in 2016 and at Smart Management as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach. Currently, they are a Scrum Master at Marstone, Inc., where they have been involved in contracting, compliance, product definition, creating Kanban and Scrum processes, training, release management, and migrating to a trunk based development pipeline.

Jonathan Wellington obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Geneva College between 1989 and 1993. Jonathan then obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance in November 2012 and an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance in October 2022. Jonathan also obtained the Better User Stories - Beta certification from the Mountain Goat Agile Academy.
