Michael Vincent Smith

Michael Vincent Smith, MD, FACC, FACS, FCCP is a prominent healthcare leader with extensive experience in health equity and medical administration. Currently serving as Founder and CEO of Marti Health since September 2022, Smith focuses on improving health outcomes for socially at-risk populations, particularly within the Sickle Cell Disease community. Previous roles include Co-chair of the Health Equity Advisory Group at the Health Care Transformation Task Force, Deputy Chief Health Equity Officer and Senior Medical Director at CVS Health, and Vice President at Cigna-HealthSpring, where innovative clinical program strategies were developed. Smith has also contributed as a Director on the Board of the Ohio Health Information Partnership, and held various executive positions at Anthem, Inc., HealthCare Partners IPA/MSO, and Grady Health System. An alumnus of the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine, Smith combines a background in medicine with strategic leadership and a commitment to advancing health equity.
