Mark Cowles

Mark Cowles currently serves as the Coordinator for Executive Initiatives and County Athletics at the Martin County School District since May 2025. Prior roles include serving as the Coordinator for Art, Music, Physical Education, Social Studies, and World Languages for Martin County Schools from July 2022 to May 2025 and as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Martin County High School from March 2012 to June 2022. Mark's career began in February 1995 with St. Lucie Public Schools as a teacher and athletic coach, where responsibilities included teaching various social studies courses and coaching multiple sports. Mark holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Barry University and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education and Social Studies from the State University of New York Cortland.
