Robert J. Cardin

Robert Cardin, CPA, MBA has extensive experience in finance and accounting roles. Robert is currently the Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Corporate Controller at Martin Marietta, where they oversee external and internal reporting, financial shared services, and corporate accounting/finance functions. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President, Corporate Controller at the same company.

Before joining Martin Marietta, Cardin worked as the Corporate Controller, Chief Accounting Officer at Schweitzer-Mauduit International, where they managed external and internal reporting, corporate financial planning and analysis, and global accounting/finance functions.

Robert also served as the Corporate Controller at SYNCREON and held various positions at Dentsply, including Assistant Corporate Controller and Group Controller. At Dentsply, they were responsible for corporate forecasting/budgeting, worldwide consolidations, SEC reporting, financial modeling for merger and acquisition activities, and integration of acquired companies.

Cardin has previously worked as the Division Controller at Collins and Aikman, overseeing division finance and accounting operations, and as an Accounting Manager at Siemens Electromechanical Components and Reynolds Metals.

Robert started their career as an Accounting Manager at Mazda North American Operations. Overall, Cardin has a strong track record in financial management, strategic decision-making support, and value-add financial analysis.

Robert Cardin, CPA, MBA has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Robert also holds a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Wayne State University. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Maryland.
