André Postema

Chairman of the Martini Hospital Board of Directors since November 2020, including strategy, external relations and partnerships, the Martini Academy, HRM, ICT and Facility Services in his portfolio. Previously, he was chairman of the board of Limburg Secondary Education (2014-2018) and vice-chairman of the Executive Board of Maastricht University (2005-2014).

André grew up in Groningen and subsequently studied history and (general) economics in Leiden, Groningen and New Mexico (US). He spent over ten years as a consultant and was vice president of Public & Health at Ernst & Young and Capgemini. André was a member of the Senate from 2011 to 2019. In the healthcare sector, André was involved in the establishment of Maastricht UMC, chairman of the Board of IZZ Zorgverzekeraar and member of various Supervisory Boards, including the Supervisory Board of the Martini Hospital (2007-2011). He is currently a supervisor at Pluryn (youth and adult care).
