Nigel Alvares

Nigel Alvares is a seasoned marketing and product management executive with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Planning at Marvell Technology since May 2017. Alvares has previously held various leadership roles within Marvell, including Vice President of Solutions Marketing and Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for the Flash Business Unit, where responsibilities included product positioning, strategic planning, and enhancing customer experiences. Prior to Marvell, Alvares worked at Rambus and Inphi Corporation, where significant contributions were made in product marketing and development for cloud data center operators. An earlier career at PMC-Sierra involved directing product marketing and business development initiatives, with a strong focus on flash/SSD technologies and server product lines. Nigel Alvares holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.
