Octavio Deshays Moreno

Octavio Deshays Moreno has a diverse range of work experience. Octavio started in 2018 as an Ayudante de Segunda at Facultad de Ingenieria UNCUYO, where they provided assistance to students and created an exercise for a textbook.

In 2019, Octavio joined INCA EMPRESA JUNIOR and held various roles, including working in the Proyects Department and as the Innovation and Development Department Coordinator. Octavio was responsible for finding innovation methods, organizing trainings, and designing and teaching a Python programming course.

In 2021, Octavio joined DeepAgro, an agtech start-up, as a Machine Learning Engineer. Octavio developed, tested, maintained, and deployed computer vision models for their product called "SprAI." Their work focused on selective spraying of herbicides using artificial intelligence and continuous value delivery to their clients. Octavio also worked as an Artificial Intelligence Intern at DeepAgro prior to their role as a Machine Learning Engineer.

In 2022, Octavio will begin working at Marvik as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Throughout their work experience, Octavio has demonstrated a strong background in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and innovation.

Octavio Deshays Moreno obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo from 2015 to 2022. In 2021, they were awarded the Friends of Fulbright Scholar title from The University of Alabama. Octavio also has several additional certifications, including "Introduction to Machine Learning in Production" from Coursera in August 2022, "Introduction to Data Science in Python" from the University of Michigan in September 2020, "Wind Energy" from DTU - Technical University of Denmark in March 2020, and "TOEFL iBT 104/120 -C1 English level" from ETS in November 2019.
