Fatema Basrai

Fatema Basrai, MBA, serves as the Managing Director of Innovate Health Yale and the Sustainable Health Initiative at Yale University, focusing on global health innovation since February 2019. Basrai previously held the position of Director of Innovation, leading strategic initiatives and securing over $200,000 in funding for public health projects. Additionally, Basrai is an Advisory Board Member for multiple organizations, including MARVL Language, UrPharm Inc., and Pills2Me, all aimed at improving health access and education. Previously, Basrai was the Executive Director of Leadership SAISD and co-founded SA RISE, advocating for educational equity in San Antonio. Basrai's early career includes roles with City Year, Communities in Schools, and IDEA Public Schools. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Austin, a Certificate in International Affairs from John Cabot University, and an MBA from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
