Jesús González Flores

Teaching Artist at Marwen

Jesús González Flores is an experienced educator and arts professional with a diverse background in teaching and curatorial roles. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at National Louis University and a Teaching Artist at Marwen, Jesús previously held teaching positions at Columbia College Chicago and contributed as a Digital Media Coordinator at Erie Neighborhood House. Jesús has extensive curatorial experience, co-founding and directing ADDS DONNA and 1213Sharp, both of which focus on supporting emerging artists. Additional roles have included Artist in Residence with the Joan Mitchell Foundation. Jesús holds a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Marwen

Founded in 1987, Marwen is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people to nurture their growth and build their futures through art and community. The support young people in grades 6–12 through free visual arts, college planning, and career preparation programs. Students from 55 of the city’s 57 zip codes and from more than 220 schools travel to Marwen, where they take classes designed and taught by practicing artists.
