Angela Hammett

Senior Director, Support Services/patient Experience at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center

Angela Hammett has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Angela is currently the Director of Patient Navigation and Support Services at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Woman's Hospital for over 16 years. From August 2018 to November 2021, they served as the Community Education Manager and from September 2005 to August 2018, they were the Perinatal Education Coordinator.

Angela Hammett holds a Masters of Science degree in Nursing - Leadership and Management from Western Governors University, which they completed in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the same university in 2017. In 1997, Angela completed an Associate's degree in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College. Their education journey began in 1992 when they pursued Pre-Nursing at Louisiana State University. In addition to their formal education, Angela Hammett has also obtained certifications such as Dare to Lead Trained from Dare to Lead™ Trained in October 2021, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) from Lamaze International, Inc., and Registered Nurse Certified Inpatient Obstetrics from The National Certification Corporation.
