Brent Coleman

Director of Support Services at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center

Brent Coleman is the Director of Support Services at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. A Registered Peer Supervisor (RPS) and certified to teach CCAR-Recovery Coach Academy, Brent’s role and responsibilities at MARC include overseeing the overall care and well-being of patients in MARC’s Community Living extended care continuum, as well as supervising and managing MARC’s team of Therapeutic Assistants. Brent works closely with the TA staff to ensure the highest quality patient care and best practices. He strives to provide a supportive and guiding role to all patients as they being their journey of early recovery so that they will have the necessary life skills and coping mechanisms needed after treatment to sustain their recovery and be productive members of society. Brent began his career in the treatment field at MARC as a Therapist Assistant (TA) in March of 2017 and since that time has constantly worked with patients within the MARC treatment continuum to regain their lives and learn to live in recovery. In July 2018 Brent took on the role of Weekend TA Supervisor and from there moved on to become the Evening Supervisor of the TA staff before taking his current role. Brent has a passion for working in the field of addiction treatment to help others that are struggling. This passion is driven not only by his experience of working in the field but also by his own personal process of recovery. Outside of work, Brent enjoys attending concerts, making art, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
