Lynn Coleman is the vice president of administration and finance. She has been a member of the Howard Community College administrative staff since 1986, having held the positions of comptroller, vice president, and interim president during her impressive tenure.
In her current role, Ms. Coleman is responsible for building, safeguarding, and guiding the college’s physical and financial infrastructure. Under her leadership, the administration and finance area consists of finance, facilities, public safety, capital projects, insurance, bookstore, food service, and sustainability initiatives.
She has served on boards for the Family Life Center, Leadership Howard County, and the Horizon Foundation. Ms. Coleman is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) and has served in leadership roles in both organizations.
Ms. Coleman holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Michigan State University and a master of business administration from Clark Atlanta University, and is a certified public accountant.
