Ken Brannan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and community service. Currently serving as Chairman of the Standing Advisory Committee at the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange since October 2017, Ken also chairs the Individual Subsidy Work Group. As the owner of Saucy Salamander Cafe' & Catering Company since 1979, Ken has built a prominent catering business known for its creative cuisine. Additionally, Ken holds the position of Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors for Leadership Maryland and has been actively involved with several organizations, including Special Olympics Maryland and the HeartSmart Foundation. Ken's educational background includes a Pre-Dental major in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Pittsburgh.

The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) is a public corporation and independent unit of state government established in April 2011 in accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA).
