George Sotos has extensive work experience in the field of oncology. George started working at Maryland Oncology & Hematology as a Physician in 1994 and has remained in that role to the present. In 2019, they became the Managing Partner for the Rockville Division of Maryland Oncology Hematology, a position they held until June 2022. From June 2022, George Sotos has been serving as the President of Maryland Oncology Hematology.
George Sotos received their AB in Computer Science from Dartmouth College in 1983. George then pursued a Master of Science in Physiology, General from Georgetown University School of Medicine from 1983 to 1984. Following that, they attended Medical College of Virginia, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from 1984 to 1988. George completed an Internship/Residency in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 1988 to 1991. Finally, they finished a Medical Oncology Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute / National Institutes of Health from 1991 to 1994.
