Lara Mattei

Lara Mattei is an experienced health policy research and communications intern at the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute Center for Children and Families since June 2016. Lara has also contributed as an HPV and Nutrition Research Volunteer at Mary's Center since November 2015, focusing on HPV vaccination strategies and conducting qualitative interviews related to nutrition. Additionally, as a Communications Team Member for the GlobeMed GW Chapter, Lara has supported health equity advocacy and organized events through social media. Previous roles include math tutor and mentor at For Love of Children, shadow participant at the Radiation Therapy and Cancer Institute, and lab assistant at The George Washington University Acheson Science Center. Lara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with double minors in Public Health and Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Cultures from The George Washington University, where education was completed from 2013 to 2017.
