Watson oversees the Investments and Capital Management function for the Masawara Group, working directly with investee companies on strategy formulation and implementation to drive growth for long-term sustainability. At a Group level Watson oversees overall management of Masawara’s investment portfolio and investment strategy to ultimately achieve value realisation for Masawara’s various stakeholders. An investment banker by profession, Watson has extensive experience as a deal maker across corporate finance, structured trade and commodity finance and infrastructure and resources credit. Prior to joining Masawara, Watson spent 7 years at Rand Merchant Bank advising a range of Corporate Finance Transactions covering cross-border and international Mergers & Acquisitions including listings and de listings, capital raises, corporate restructures and empowerment acquisitions.
