Basel Dahleh

Basel Dahleh is a seasoned professional in renewable energy, currently serving as Principal of Masdar Americas since January 2008, where significant contributions include establishing the company’s footprint in North America and managing a diverse portfolio of approximately 2GW. Previous roles at Masdar span Senior Manager of Development and Investment, where Basel led a major investment in a 1.6 GW portfolio, and Manager of Mergers and Acquisitions, coordinating the company's first US wind portfolio investment while also overseeing solar project developments in the Caribbean. Early career experiences include managing the development of 14 renewable energy projects across various countries and conducting engineering analyses. Basel holds an Executive MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, a Masters in Entrepreneurship from Ryerson University, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University in Dubai.
