Gisèle ABI CHAHLA, PhD has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies related to energy, sustainability, and innovation.

Gisèle currently holds the position of Head of Business Development - International at Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) since May 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Manager - Green Hydrogen at the same company from January 2022 to April 2023. Before that, they worked as a Project Manager - Clean Energy and Sustainable Fuels at Masdar from June 2020 to December 2021.

In addition to their experience at Masdar, Gisèle also worked as an Advisory and Decision Committee member at Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund starting in March 2023.

Before joining Masdar, Gisèle held the position of Project Manager - Net Zero Energy at Atkins from January 2020 to December 2021.

Gisèle also has experience working as a Project Manager - Green Hydrogen & Power to Gas at STORENGY, an ENGIE subsidiary, from November 2018 to January 2020. In this role, they were responsible for R&D modules in power to gas projects and managing project stakeholders. Gisèle also played a role in strategic partnerships, tender decisions, and feasibility studies for renewable gas production and storage solutions.

Gisèle's experience also includes roles at Université PSL as an Energy and Process Instructor - Projects Advisor from October 2014 to December 2019, at ARMINES as a Project Manager - Circular Economy from November 2017 to November 2018, and at CES MINES ParisTech as a Project Engineer and Research & Development Engineer from February 2013 to October 2017.

Gisèle ABI CHAHLA, PhD has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Energy and Process Engineering from Mines Paris. Additionally, they hold a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sorbonne Université. Gisèle has also obtained certifications in skills such as conducting and leading work meetings, project management, and team management from SEGECO Consulting.
