Rui Gonçalves has a diverse work experience, starting from 2010. Rui worked as a Chronicler for Diário do Minho - presse hebdomadaire régional from December 2010 to August 2011. Rui then worked as a Marketing Assistant Intern at Brandkey - Marketing Activation from May 2011 to May 2012. Following that, they served as a Marketing Assistant (internship) at Entre les lignes from September 2012 to December 2012.

In 2012, Rui joined Lapubquiroule.fr as a Junior Sales Representative, where they played a crucial role in increasing business opportunities through various routes to market. Rui developed sales strategies, set targets, collected customer feedback, and conducted market research. Their responsibilities also included negotiation, sales planning, relationship building, staffing, managing processes, and staying updated with market knowledge. From September 2013 to May 2015, Rui served as an E-Marketing Manager | Big DATA & Online Loyalty Programs at LEOO L'Experience fidelisation. In this role, they were responsible for managing the entire e-commerce Loyalty Programs and Data Management for prestigious clients such as Nestlè, Toshiba, Allianz, Poiray, Baume & Mercier, and Le Parisien. Their key responsibilities included increasing the return on investment (ROI) for each program, improving B2B customer satisfaction, and efficiently managing BIG DATA. Rui collaborated closely with Design, Development, and IT teams on a daily basis.

Starting from June 2015, Rui joined Farfetch, where they held several positions. Rui first worked as an E-commerce Partner Service (France, Benelux, and Scandinavia) from June 2015 to January 2016. Rui then became an E-commerce Partner Service Supervisor (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) from January 2016 to March 2017. Their last role at Farfetch was the E-commerce Partner Success Manager (Europe, Middle East, Africa), from March 2017 to October 2018. During their time at Farfetch, Rui focused on ensuring the success of e-commerce partnerships, fulfilling managerial responsibilities, and delivering superior customer service.

Most recently, Rui has been working at Winkelstraat.nl since October 2018. Rui started as a Business Development Manager - Europe and progressed to the role of Lead Business Development - Europe from January 2020 to January 2022. In this role, they managed teams, handled project management responsibilities, engaged in strategic thinking, and contributed to new business acquisition and account management. Starting from December 2022 to the present, Rui serves as the Senior Business Development Manager at Winkelstraat.nl. Here, they take charge of driving the B2B partnership development strategies, develops and implements B2B strategies, and evaluates and monitors sales performance towards long and short-term goals.

Rui Gonçalves completed a licentiate degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Centro Regional de Braga from 2008 to 2011. From 2012 to 2014, they attended WIBS - Weller International Business School, where they obtained a master’s degree in Marketing and a degree in Business Development Management. Additionally, in 2013 and 2014, they pursued a master’s degree in Digital Marketing from the same institution.
