Ahmed Abdelaal

Ahmed Abdelaal currently serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Corporate and Investment Banking Group at Mashreq Bank, a position held since November 2017. Prior to this role, Ahmed Abdelaal amassed significant experience at HSBC from July 2007 to October 2017, where responsibilities included regional leadership in Corporate Clients Coverage and Commercial Banking across the MENA region, along with specific oversight of large corporates and structured finance. Previous roles at various banks, including ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Arab African International Bank, contributed to a robust career in corporate banking that began in 1993. Ahmed Abdelaal holds an MBA from London Business School and completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in October 2022, following a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Cairo University.
