Gowrishankar K is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in international banking and taxation. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Head of Finance & Taxation at Mashreq since January 2008, Gowrishankar manages the finance and taxation functions across nine overseas markets, including Egypt, Qatar, and the US. Prior roles include Financial Controller at Dubai First and Assistant Vice President at Citibank, with earlier experiences in GE Capital International Services, Ernst & Young, and Hindustan Lever Limited. Educational qualifications include an Associate Member designation from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Madras, alongside certifications from the CFA Institute and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
