Mohammed Seedat

Mohammed Seedat is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the banking and financial services sector. Currently serving as Director at Mashreq Bank since July 2022, Mohammed leads NBFI initiatives encompassing fund finance, fintechs, and asset management. Previously, Mohammed held several director-level roles at Standard Chartered Bank from May 2018 to June 2022, where responsibilities included managing client relationships in Qatar and overseeing a diverse portfolio of institutional and public sector clients. Before that, Mohammed worked at Citi for over five years, progressing from risk management to assistant vice president, where oversight of the Southern Africa and Oceanic Islands portfolio was a key responsibility. Mohammed's educational background includes an Honours degree in Business Science with a specialization in Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand, along with executive education in Fintech from the University of Oxford.
