Shamsulhaq Niaz

Shamsulhaq Niaz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in digital payments and product management. Currently serving as the Chief Digital Officer & Head of Payments at Mashreq since April 2023, previous roles include Product Management Consultant at Xische & Co, where key achievements involved revamping digital platforms for the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, and Vice President of Products at Dawaai. Shamsulhaq Niaz has also held prominent positions such as Head of Digital Payments at Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited and has a strong background in managing payment solutions and enhancing customer experiences at Mashreq Bank. Earlier experience at MCB Bank Limited included overseeing acceptance strategies and leading financial turnaround initiatives. Shamsulhaq Niaz holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from INSEAD and a BSc in Computer Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
